About Us

HOMEGROWN Radio is more than just radio – we’re a bouquet media business with a bold vision. Through our podcasts and video series, we explore wellness, love, technology, and culture with authenticity and African rhythm. Our flagship shows – Beyond Echoes, Emerging Technologies, The Love Prescription, and Between the Lines – release content every two days across YouTube, Spotify, and social platforms.

We are now looking for an astute, technical, and hands-on YouTube & Social Media Producer to help us grow our digital footprint and build a strong audience foundation heading into 2026.

 

The Role

As our YouTube & Social Media Producer, you’ll be the engine behind our content distribution. You’ll take our finished shows and make sure they land with impact – from uploading to YouTube and Spotify, to creating engaging short-form clips, to managing release schedules and tracking growth.

This is a role for someone who thrives on execution, consistency, and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy video and audio podcasts across YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other platforms.
  • Optimise uploads with strong titles, thumbnails, descriptions, hashtags, and metadata.
  • Create and distribute social-friendly clips (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) from long-form content.
  • Write captions and schedule posts across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X)
  • Maintain a 2-day release cycle across all four shows.
  • Track and report on analytics: audience growth, watch time, engagement.
  • Advise on trends, timing, and content tweaks to maximize reach.
  • Collaborate with HOMEGROWN hosts, producers, and partners to ensure smooth content delivery.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience managing YouTube channels and understanding platform algorithms.
  • Skilled in short-form video editing (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar).
  • Knowledge of social media scheduling tools(Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite, Later).
  • Strong copywriting for captions, hooks, and calls-to-action.
  • Highly organized, reliable, and consistent under a fast-paced schedule.
  • Familiarity with analytics dashboards and growth strategies.
  • Bonus: Passion for wellness, love, tech, or storytelling content.

Ideal Candidate Background

  • 2–4 years in digital content production, podcast/video publishing, or social media management.
  • Track record of growing audiences and managing multiple releases.
  • Comfortable working in a creative, collaborative media environment.

Location & Commitment

  • Based in Johannesburg (Riversands Hub) preferred, but open to remote/hybrid.
  • Full-time or contract-to-hire position.
